21st Rathangan Drama Festival 2009
After another hugely successful run, the 2009 Rathangan Drama Festival finished on Friday 3rd April. Dalkey Players won the Open section with their presentation of “Les Liaisons Dangereuses” by Christopher Hampton. However, it was a local Kildare Group “Droichead Nua Players” participating in the confined section of the
Festival with their play “The Lonesome West” by Martin McDonagh, that
took home most of the accolades.  To view the full article, please see the April CORE Community Newsletter.
Celebrity Bainisteoir 2009
Celebrity Bainisteoir fever certainly hit the town in February. It certainly was an unforgettable day with GAA legends descending on Rathangan to see
what was the most exciting and thrilling match played in Rathangan in many years. Our mentor Jack O’Shea, Glasdrumman’s mentor Pete McGrath, commentator Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh and RTE presenter Des Cahill were the faces
spotted on Valentines Day. The near 1,000 crowd experienced sheer enjoyment and ecstasy to utter devastation and disappointment. For the club and especially the players, to come so near but to be cruelly beaten by a point in extra time was heartbreaking. See pictures. Click Read More for the full article.
